Going Live!

After weeks of lots of hard work, sweat and tears we are pleased to announce the completion of another successful project. Today we launched a brand new responsive site for Comptons Tanker Sales and Rental. The company approached us following a referral from one of our other clients and we set to work creating their new site straight away. Not only did we provide them with a new website site but we also went through a branding exercise to update their current logo and corporate identity, providing them with a much fresher feel whilst still maintaining the essence of who they are.

Introducing our New Account Manager

We are pleased to announce the addition of Jen Curno to the team here at Staunton Rook. Jen has joined us in the position of Account Manager and is looking forward to getting her teeth into her new role.

Jen comes from a marketing background and so is fully prepared for what her new role will involve. After studying Advertising and Brand Management at University Jen has worked for the last 10 years in both online and offline marketing environments. She states “I always enjoy the mix of projects and clients my job brings. I love the buzz of seeing a well organised and planned project reach completion and the feeling of a job well done.”

Away from work Jen loves to travel, and is always on the lookout for her next holiday destination which usually involves either sightseeing or snow!

Staunton Rook Supports Vortex at Powtech!

Last week staff from Staunton Rook travelled to Nuremberg, Germany to support one of their international clients Vortex Valves (Salina, Kansas) at Powtech, the world’s leading trade fair for the processing, analysing and handling of powder and bulk solids. We are extremely pleased with how successfully the show went and were delighted to assist Vortex not only in the detail and logistics of designing, shipping and building their exhibition stand but also in managing the stand for the duration of the show. Our aim with any project like this is to take the stress and responsibility of the design, build and management of the exhibition stand away from the client so that they can focus their attention purely on liaising with visitors to the stand.

Whilst the nation has been focusing on developments north of the border, here at Staunton Rook we have had our minds set on an altogether different type of news, that of the cable industry variety. This week we have finalised and launched the first edition of a newsletter for one of our newest clients, Cimteq! The cable manufacturing and design software experts are growing from strength to strength and with our help they keeping the industry informed on latest news and developments and highlighting the value that they can truly add to cable manufacturing companies design and production processes.

Account Manager Vacancy

We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic and hardworking Account Manager to join our team. The role will involve managing key client accounts; this will include developing marketing strategies and managing projects from creative concepts through to development and final execution. The successful candidate will report to the Account Director and will be responsible for driving their individual client campaigns forward.

Staunton Rook Expands Overseas

Staunton Rook works with clients on an international level as well as within the UK. Our quality of service has attracted companies as far afield as Germany, South Africa and the United States who have come to us for assistance with their marketing. This month we have signed up Vortex Valves who are located in Kansas, USA. They have commissioned Staunton Rook to design, build and manage an exhibition stand at Powtech which is held at the Nuremburg Messe, Germany in September 2014. We are looking forward to commencing work on this new project over the next few months. Watch this space for updates.

3,2,1… launch!

We are excited to announce the launch of the new Cam Gas website.

Initially we began by working with the company on an ad-hoc basis to produce a sales brochure, press adverts and literature, however last year it was agreed that a more aggressive marketing strategy was required to help them grow their business and to position them more strategically within the market place. This resulted in Cam Gas entering into a marketing services contract which has been created specifically to suit their requirements. The ongoing contract ensures that they receive maximum consistency, input and return from their marketing budget.

So far we have implemented the redesign of the Cam Gas exhibition display vehicle, the creation of new corporate literature and most recently the design, build and launch of a brand new website. With much more on the schedule for 2014 the year certainly looks to be a bright one for Cam Gas.

16 years of continuous improvement...

Today we launched the latest version of Redrows Online Digital Asset Management System. We created the first photographic database for Redrow back in 1998, this was before the digital camera was available and photography was supplied as transparencies and colour prints. These were scanned on a drum scanner, originally to film and then as time progressed creating a digital file.

Recognising the savings that could be made by retouching photographs once and then storing images digitally was a huge step change in technology. These were the early days of the internet so files were originally copied to CDs and distributed to users on a monthly basis as increasingly more images were added. We have over the years continually updated this system as improvements in technology have allowed us to produce better quality products in a much faster time. In the early 1990’s retouching of images was a photographic process involving the use of a paintbrush and scalpel – hours and sometimes days were spent carefully removing, repairing or making colour adjustments to an image. Today we have cameras that produce a high quality digital image and our colour retouching skills have progressed from film to computer using Adobe Photoshop. We have now uploaded over 25,000 images on to the Redrow database, they can be photographed, retouched and accessed by Redrow employees all over the world on the same day.

The new database features storage areas for photographic images, logos, videos and exhibition graphics. These are all very large files which can be downloaded rapidly from a server which is connected to the internet with a 100 meg uncontended fibre optic pipe. This ensures that there is no reduction in speed when the world is streaming movies at peak internet viewing times.

If the Mountain wont come to Muhammad...

A Tradeshow is a very good way to demonstrate your product to your prospective customers, however many buyers can not afford the time to visit a trade exhibition or visit your own site to see your product. We offered Rotex a solution in the form of a mobile exhibition unit which has proved to be such a success that we are now about to embark upon our third tour.

Rotex sales representatives find it much easier to make appointments with prospective clients when they have something physical to show them and the first stage in the event planning system is to arrange appointments with clients in each of the countries specified on the tour. Staunton Rook then arrange for the unit manager to be at the clients premises 45 minutes before the appointment, to set up the vehicle and organise refreshments. The co ordination between unit manager, sales representative and clients are organised by Staunton Rook together with vehicle maintenance, ferries, tolls, hotels and customs documentation required.

Practicing What We Preach...

Keeping one step ahead of the competition is not easy in this ever changing techno.world, but nevertheless it is very important.

Having designed and built a new website in the Spring of 2013 we have now scrapped that one and launched this new site that promotes the following new offerings. It is responsive, this means that the software recognises the screen size that it is being viewed on (think mobiles and tablets) and rebuilds the website to suit each medium. Navigation changes from a traditional navigation bar to vertical scrolling which is fast becoming the trend for touch screen mobile devices. We have also introduced some exciting new product offerings such as lead tracking which tells you who has visited your site but not yet made contact. We can provide you with a list of these visitors each week so that your sales team can follow up and convert this lead into a customer.

Remarketing uses software which allows us to follow your visitor as they search other sites and place your advert on that sites page so they are constantly reminded of your offering. Squeeze pages these are not so new, we have been creating these for a number of years, however the new buzz term has become very popular in 2014. A Squeeze page is a page purely focussed on capturing data from your clients and can be accessed from a promotion on your site, through a Google search, an online advert or from an email campaign.

The second reason for changing the website was to focus more on our clients needs and as a result we have developed three specific packages to suit clients at different stages of their growth cycle. We recognised that most visitors coming to our site were visiting as they were either establishing a new business or looking to grow an existing business. The budgets each client had available however varied tremendously depending upon the stage that their business was at the time. Some small to medium size companies and start ups had a very limited budget, we want long term relationships with our clients so were happy to discount heavily to this group in the hope of building long term loyalty. More mature companies who have progressed through the initial growth cycle and have a larger budget to spend can buy into our Business Growth Package which offers a wider range of services and products rolled out each month to allow them to focus on acquisition and retention. It is all very well reaching out for new business but we recognise that looking after your existing clients is just as important we work with our clients to create a lead generation program and a client retention/ growth program.

The third offering is a full Outsourced Marketing Department, if your company is at the stage where you feel it is time to employ a marketing manager/director and perhaps an assistant we recognise that this is a huge step to make which involve investing in a salary package of £40- £100,000 and then this new team will advise you to spend at least the same amount again with a company just like ourselves. Before you know it your marketing budget has increased from £2,000 per month. To £10,000 per month.
