Social Media – Best Practices & Nasty Habits
15 December 2020
We’ve seen it all when it comes to social media – the good, the bad and damn right ugly. Some businesses absolutely nail their organic social posts with the combination of enticing content, creative imagery, suitable hashtags and the proper use of emojis (🙌). So, what do these businesses have in place to make their posts thrive? The answer: strategy (and best practices).
At this time of year it is customary to give gifts to show your appreciation to those who you value and care for. This year we have chosen to give these gifts in a different way. Zach's House is a charity that we hold very close to our hearts and as a charity in its infancy is in need of support in order to become strongly established and provide the vital support that it does. We have therefore chosen to make a donation to this amazing charity to help it to support bereaved parents at a time of year which is particularly difficult.
Always Ready For Launch 🚀
6 August 2020
The name of one of our latest clients directly translates to 'Always Ready' and with the launch of their newly designed website they are without doubt in a position to live up to this ethos. Semper Paratus provide a specialist LinkedIn automation tool solution that enables them to set their clients ahead of the competition, maximising their sales funnel and generating impressive results.
The new website allows them to communicate this in a seamless and transparent way, utilising their own methods to engage their prospects and generate leads. Fully content managed and built utilising the Wordpress platform the site is attractive, functional and ticks all the boxes when it comes to a UX design that puts the user at the centre of the experience. However the launch isn't the end of the story with Staunton Rook, in fact it is just the beginning, the next stage of the web and SEO element of the marketing package that we are delivering comprises in part of a targeted and focused organic SEO strategy to get the company performing well organically for the key industry search phrases that will position them in front of an engaged target audience.
Recent events have effected all businesses to different levels, some negatively, some positively and like all we have been working hard to move forwards in these unchartered times. All businesses have overheads yet some are not quite so large as one business and charity very close to our hearts. Chester Zoo is the UK's biggest and most popular charity zoo however it is suffering critically as a result of having to be closed due to Covid19. The zoo needs to raise a whopping £1.6m each month to keep going (it costs £465,000 a month just to feed and look after all the animals). They are in need of help!
At Staunton Rook we have decided to adopt a Meerkat to help them in their fundraising efforts. It may not be much but if every business did this in it would have a big impact - check out the link below to see the different animals you could adopt. We had great fun choosing and in the end then decision was unanimous - we think a Meerkat is the perfect choice for Staunton Rook Meerkating (see what we did there 🙂). Inspired to get involved? There are lots of ways that you can help:
We are excited to announce the launch of a brand new e-commerce website for LB Online Fitness. We were approached by Laura & Leonie of Building Beautiful Bodies for assistance with their marketing activity and it was quickly established that before we could concentrate on raising awareness and driving traffic to their website we needed to ensure that the brand and website would resonate with their target market. Therefore it was proposed and agreed that we would carry out a rebrand and the creation of a new website before moving onto phase 2 of the marketing activity.
Over the course of several weeks completed a fill rebrand and created an Ecommerce website that was fully integrated with their Online Fitness app. The site allows prospects to sign up for membership of their online training program in addition to purchasing recipe books and guideline manuals for self improvement. This project came at a time when lockdown as a result of Ovid-19 had just been implemented so with the team working from home we had some creative challenges to overcome. The creative design process is always a very fluid process with lots of input and backwards and forwards to produce creatives that we feel accurately represent the customer and will appeal to the target market. We usually like to all get round our meeting table and thrash out designs and it is very much a process however we had to move this online. We found Microsoft Teams to be invaluable for this and by utilising screen sharing we soon got into the swing of a new way of working. The same was applicable for the web build itself, our studio manager and web programmer spent hours on video calls tweaking and adjusting to ensure that the finished website matched the flat creative designs that we produced early on for the vision of the website.
The finished result is a high impact, fully functional and sleek website which easily conveys their service and product offering and completely represents the LB Online Fitness ethos and everything that Laura & Leonie stand for.
We are excited to move on to the next stage of their marketing activity with them.
An interesting article by John Arlidge in the Sunday Times yesterday provided a great insight into the actions company's should be taking in relation to their marketing budgets during the Covid19 crisis. In a time that businesses look to reduce expenditure, marketing budgets are often one of the first areas to be culled however, history demonstrates that companies that forge forwards during these times, maintaining spend and visibility within the marketplace fare better than their counterparts who reduce marketing activity.
In the light of the latest guidelines relating to Covid19 we are now working remotely to ensure the health and well being of our team. It is however business as usual and you can contact us in the same methods as you would normally.
Redrow’s ‘Reduce the Rubble’ Initiative
17 January 2020
Spanning over the last two decades, Redrow, one of the UK’s leading housebuilders, has been a long-standing and valued client of Staunton Rook, utilising a wide range of our marketing services. During this time, we have supported Redrow with an extensive range of unique marketing collateral for both online and offline services. The company recently approached us to design and produce a collection of marketing collateral for a new waste initiative – a first of its kind for the housebuilding industry and we couldn’t wait to get involved!
We are proud to announce that we have selected a cause very close to our hearts to support during 2020. Close friends and clients of ours are working hard to help support parents in grief who have lost their children following the loss of their own son Zach last year.
